Domaine De La Mongestine

Bob Singlar 2023

Vin de France | Pink | 2023

This 115-hectare estate, fully certified organic viticulture since 2014, was bought by Céline and Harry in 2017 who launched a total renovation to express the full potential of this terroir. The vineyard, extending over 120 ha including 30 ha of vines, benefits from varied soils and a diversity of grape varieties which promote the complexity of the IGP and AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence wines. Natural winemaking, with few or no inputs, and varied aging give rise to unique wines, such as this delightful rosé, which breaks the Provençal codes, born from the know-how and passion of this young and avant-garde team.

Our opinion on the vintage

This rosé wine is perfect for a simple and refreshing drink. Its candy-pink hue hints at aromas of light sweets that are revealed from the first sniff. On the palate, its excellent tension and lingering acidity make it ideal for enjoying tapas with friends under the pergola. A thirst-quenching wine to be enjoyed without fuss, perfect for convivial moments all year round.

Domaine De La Mongestine

Domaine De La Mongestine

Provence | France

Located in Jouques, north of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, Domaine de la Mongestine is farmed organically and biodynamically. The vineyard is situated on a high plateau, in a cool environment for Provence, characterized by significant temperature variations between day and night.

The predominantly clay-limestone soils, combined with the altitude and influence of the winds, promote gradual ripening and naturally taut balances. The estate cultivates a range of Mediterranean grape varieties, adapted to this cooler climate, with particular attention paid to preserving freshness and expressing the wines clearly.

The winemaking process is carried out with restraint, favoring gentle extractions and discreet aging, so as not to mask the identity of the grapes. The wines are distinguished by their straightforward and balanced profiles, far removed from the sun-drenched expressions often associated with the region, with a precise structure and a beautiful finish.
