Our take on this vintage

From the very first whiff, this wine reveals the spicy notes characteristic of Pineau d'Aunis, evoking white pepper and wild strawberries. On the palate, there is a perfect balance between a light texture and bold flavors that leave a delicate impression. Carbonic maceration delivers an explosion of fresh red fruits and an alluring liveliness. Aging in tanks highlights aromatic purity, resulting in a lingering and elegant finish. A vibrant wine to be savored to the fullest.

Bobinet Estate

Loire | France

In Saumur-Champigny, Domaine Bobinet is run by Émilie Bobinet and Sébastien Bobinet. The vineyard is situated between the hillsides and the banks of the Loire, on predominantly limestone soils covered with layers of varying depths of clay and silt, which are particularly well-suited to Cabernet Franc.

The vines are cultivated using organic farming methods, with a focus on soil vitality and the balance of the plant. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure they are ripe and healthy. In the winery, winemaking is carried out with minimal intervention, aiming to preserve the fruit’s natural expression and the terroir’s distinct character.

The wines are aged primarily in barrels in a cave-dwelling cellar typical of the Saumur region, which offers natural conditions conducive to slow, steady aging. The wines exhibit bold, lively profiles with supple textures, a direct expression of Cabernet Franc, and a balance built on freshness ... Read more
