Rully | Red | 2023

This Rully red wine is carefully crafted to express the full finesse of Burgundy's Pinot Noir. Rigorous bud thinning and double selection of the grapes guarantee a high-quality product. After a two-week fermentation with frequent pump-overs, the Rully is aged in oak barrels for 15 months, which imparts a beautiful complexity. Minimal filtration reveals a light, natural sediment, preserving its full aromatic richness.

Our opinion on the vintage

The nose of this Rully red opens with fruity aromas reminiscent of the purity of Pinot Noir. On the palate, the attack is delicate, evolving into a light and elegant structure. The ruby color immediately catches the eye and suggests the wine's freshness. On tasting, its fine texture caresses the palate and leaves a harmonious impression, typical of great Burgundies. A wine to be enjoyed slightly chilled, which will appeal to both connoisseurs and those who appreciate a fine discovery.

Bourgogne | France

Domaine Jaeger-Defaix is a family estate located in Rully in Burgundy, taken over in 2002 by Hélène Jaeger-Defaix who developed the property with plots of Rully white and red.

The estate is cultivated using certified organic farming methods and covers approximately 5 hectares of vines planted with Chardonnay for the whites and Pinot Noir for the reds.

The wines produced reflect the Burgundian style, combining elegance, finesse and fruit expression, with some vintages aged in oak barrels to enrich their aromatic complexity.
