Chorus Rouge 2024

Vin de France | Rouge | 2024

Chorus 2024 is a red “ Vin de France ” from Quercus Alta, made from 100% Merlot. Crafted from organically farmed vines that are approximately 23 years old, this cuvée offers a fresh, accessible, and fruit-forward profile.

The wine is made naturally, without fining or filtration and with minimal sulfur, while aging in tanks helps preserve the purity of the fruit as much as possible. The 2024 vintage produces a light, silky red with a supple, easy-drinking body—perfect for those looking for a fresh Merlot rather than a powerful, oaky Bordeaux.

A convivial wine that’s easy to share, and one that truly lives up to its name: Chorus evokes a sense of togetherness, shared moments, and the joy of gathering over a glass of wine.

Our Review of the Cuvée

A bright ruby-red color. The nose is immediately fruity, marked by notes of red and black fruits, with aromas of blackberry and red berries, complemented by delicate floral hints of hyacinth and violet.

On the palate, the attack is supple and silky. The fruit comes through with freshness, supported by a light and very easy-drinking body. The finish reveals slightly firm tannins, which provide structure and length without weighing down the wine.

A fresh, indulgent, and approachable Merlot, best enjoyed for its fruit and liveliness.

Quercus Alta

Quercus Alta

Quercus Alta is a young winery located on the La Mondette estate, on the outskirts of the Dordogne region, near Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux. Born out of a desire to create wines on a human scale, the estate champions an artisanal approach to viticulture, based on respect for living organisms, precision, and the pursuit of fresh, balanced, and authentic wines.

The driving force behind the project, Baptiste—a trained oenologist—forged his career path without relying on a family winemaking heritage. After studying viticulture and oenology, he gained valuable experience working at wineries in France and abroad, notably in Italy, Chile, and Greece. These diverse experiences now shape his vision of wine: to observe, understand, and work with the raw material rather than seeking to transform it.
