Nicolas Mariotti Bindi

Zinzinu 2024

Patrimonio | White | 2024

This Vermentinu comes from organically grown vines on southeast-facing limestone and clay soils. Hand-harvested at early ripeness, it is aged for 6 to 8 months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks after natural fermentation. Bottled with light filtration and very low sulfite dosage. A balanced, fresh, and terroir-driven white wine with a maritime character, it is a pure expression of the grape variety and its terroir.

Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is pale gold in color. The nose expresses refined aromas of Asian pear, ripe lemon, white melon, and white flowers, underpinned by a saline touch reminiscent of the Corsican coast. On the palate, the texture is generous, with a balanced volume and vibrant fruitiness. The acidity is fine and refreshing, and the saline finish lingers on the palate with an invigorating iodine note. A luminous, easy-drinking, and convivial wine, perfect as an aperitif or with fresh seafood.

In Upper Corsica, Vermentinu takes on a luminous character at Nicolas Mariotti Bindi's winery. The white wines possess a saline core and a firm tension. The reds, made from Niellucciu, gain depth without losing their Mediterranean suppleness. In short: they pulsate.
