Les vins de la Madone

Gamays 2024

IGP Urfé | Red | 2024

Hand-harvested and crafted without added sulfites, this red wine draws its unique character from the volcanic soils. The winemaking process emphasizes indigenous yeasts and daily punch-downs for slow extraction, followed by 8 to 10 days of maceration. After cold stabilization and rigorous filtration, it was bottled in December 2023. This artisanal approach results in a pure and delicate wine, ideal for appreciating the true essence of Gamay.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first glance, the deep, translucent purple robe intrigues. On the nose, rich aromas of candied black fruits, refreshed by menthol and vegetal notes, intertwine. On the palate, the experience continues with an ethereal roundness and a fine texture that surprises with its depth. Flavors of black cherry and candied raspberry harmonize beautifully with resinous and balsamic nuances. The invigorating and generous finish reveals a surprising concentration, wonderfully balancing ripe fruit and striking freshness.
