Les vins de la Madone
Migmatite 2025
Côtes du Forez | Rouge | 2025
The 45-year-old vines, planted in the clay-granite soil characteristic of the Montbrison region, produce a remarkably unique wine. With a controlled yield of 35 hl/ha, each cluster is harvested by hand and vinified as whole clusters, without the addition of sugar. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts to preserve the authenticity of the aromas. After two weeks of fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks, this wine undergoes light filtration and measured sulfiting, in accordance with Demeter standards.

Our Review of the Cuvée
Upon opening, this wine reveals a captivating nose, blending delicate balsamic notes with a generous creaminess of dark fruits. From the very first sip, an invigorating tension takes hold, offering a refined and intensely fruity palate, bursting with freshness. The finish, slightly concentrated, lingers with flavors of candied black fruit, and a subtle cherry pit bitterness introduces a pleasant complexity. Perfect for pairing with hearty dishes like beef bourguignon or grilled pork, this wine showcases Gamay in all its glory.
