Through meticulous work on their estate in the Costières de Nîmes, Emilie and Brice Bolognini offer a unique wine, made primarily from Cinsault and Grenache grapes, cultivated biodynamically. These grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with minimal intervention. Short maceration and aging in concrete tanks preserve the natural freshness and saline notes imparted by the terroir, close to the Mediterranean and the Camargue ponds.

Our opinion on the vintage

Mas Mellet wine opens with a delicately fruity nose, revealing subtle nuances of red berries and garrigue. On the palate, it is distinguished by its velvety texture, accompanied by a surprising freshness reminiscent of a sea breeze. The signature saline notes of the terroir add another dimension, enriching the tasting experience. This wine displays a fine and elegant structure, allowing the nuances of Cinsault and Grenache to fully express themselves, and finishes with a beautiful length, leaving a lingering impression of vitality and purity.

Here, the southern wind blows through the glasses. Carignan, Grenache, and their ilk produce supple reds with direct, uncomplicated aromatics. The wines prioritize drinkability, but certain terroirs bring a surprising depth. In short: just the right amount of simplicity. You'll want to come back for more.
