Old family estate in Mercurey, taken over in 2009 by a Dutch couple. Located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the estate offers a selection of Burgundies and Mercureys in two colours. The estate’s wines are highly rated in the main guides (Hachette, Bettane & Desseauve, Revue de Vin de France). Since the 2013 vintage they offer certified organic wines. Small yields, manual harvesting, strict sorting, long vinification, everything is done to make wines with body and taste.
At the gates of the Camargue, between Provence and Languedoc, Château Vessière covers 65 hectares of organically grown vines. Passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, Vincent and Lucie Teulon have now taken over the business development of the estate and have also very quickly applied their values to the production of Château Vessière wines: the preservation of their environment through a clean and sustainable agriculture, offering healthy products through the production of organic wines (soon biodynamic) and with very little added sulphites (or even none at all for the Ortus cuvée).
