A unique typicity with aromas of black fruit, violet and spices.... Obtained thanks to a native grape variety: Négrette, produced in France and in AOC in our Château near Toulouse.
For six generations now, at Château Clamens, family traditions have been perpetuated. A true craftsman in love with his work, Jean Michel Bégué knows how to preserve family secrecy and uses it to select the best terroirs for each cuvée and each vintage and to age the wine in the traditional way. Carried out in a rational way, the vine is managed with the
aim of controlling yields and production based on quality (less than 45hl per ha). Many of our vines are planted in the direction of the Autan wind to reduce treatments and ensure the best possible
These attentions, from the vine to the cellar, allow us to minimize the doses of sulphur in the wines (which places us in the category of natural wines). Moreover, our red wines are neither fined nor fined until bottling in order to preserve all their taste qualities... wines where hedonism accompanies the feeling of a job well done.
The municipal registers mention the estate for the first time in 1868. The Clamens, from father to son, developed it until a happy marriage entrusted its future to the Begue. The production of Château Clamens is therefore the heir to a long tradition of passionate people, and I am now the guarantor of this ancestral know-how. Coming from the 6th generation, I take particular care and attention to my vineyard and to the Négrette, the ancestral grape variety of Fronton, which produces fine and delicate wines.
