The Château's name comes from the Occitan "Font Salat", meaning Salt Fountain. It comes from the naturally salty spring gushing up on the property. Our story

I took over the estate in 2014 with the determination to produce wines that live up to the terroir and the Saint-Chinian appellation. In a style that's perhaps more modern than my predecessors, I'm determined to preserve all the specific characteristics that have made Chateau Fonsalade the wine that has delighted me for years and years.
