Anecdotes about the domain

It is one of the oldest vineyards in France. Its deep clay-limestone soil, located on the first slopes, is exposed to the south. Its climate benefits from the oceanic mildness and the Mediterranean heat. Its grape varieties are unique in the world.

The domain's short story

Following the course of the Tarn to Gaillac or venturing onto the first hillsides, we are in the very heart of one of the oldest vineyards in France: Château MARESQUE. This 13 ha property has existed for more than three centuries and is located on the best slopes.

The winemaker's pride

The property of 13 ha which dates back more than three centuries, is located in the heart of the Gaillac appellation. The grape varieties of the estate are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah. Far from the eye, Braucol, Duras and Prunelard. The wines of Chateau Maresque come from a deep clay-limestone soil, located on the first slopes of Gaillac. They benefit from the mildness of the ocean and the warmth of the Mediterranean, due to their southern exposure.
