Le magnifique millésime 2018 est en route... !Petit retour en images sur la vinification de ce qui promet d'être un fabuleux vin dans quelques mois : voici l'écoulage, entre les fermentations alcoolique et malolactique, qui permet de dévoiler le marc, le presser... ce qui permettra ensuite d'assembler les jus obtenus pour équilibrer les futurs tanins de notre BUZET AOC... Une opération délicate, mais essentielle... affaire à suivre !

Alors que certaines régions viticoles (Bourgogne, Champagne...) sont déjà en pleines vendanges, les choses avancent sereinement à Buzet : hier j'ai mené avec mon oenologue les premiers tests de maturité sur nos Merlots : nous prévoyons les vendanges entre le 15 et le 20 septembre. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur ces quelques photos, ce millésime 2018 pourrait être magnifique, tant en quantité qu'en qualité : pourvu que nous soyons protégés des aléas climatiques dans les 3 semaines qui viennent !

The domain's short story

We are winemakers from father to son for five generations in Wolxheim le Canal. We are certified organic since 2022 and high environmental value since 2019. We produce the seven grape varieties of Alsace: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat d'Alsace, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. We offer authentic wines and take great care of the terroir, the vines and the berries to extract the most beautiful expression possible. Charles Dischler, since 1970, has focused on the monoculture of the vineyard and has collected 26 atypical plots of land in Wolxheim. Today it is André, his son, who continues the tradition accompanied by his wife Nathalie.

The winemaker's pride

We wish to take care of our vines and respect the environment. We practice grassing with a minimum contribution of amendment. The pruning is short and the fruits are harvested at their right maturity to obtain a perfect harmony between sweetness, finesse, structure and elegance. Although we produce the famous Alsatian grape varieties, our estate is known for producing exceptional Riesling thanks to the three different terroirs that make up our village. These are the places called Altenberg and Wolxheim. These marvellous grape varieties, in these appellations, benefit from soils that are favourable to the production of a great vintage. You will find clay-limestone, pink sandstone and marl-limestone soils. We are located at the exit of the village in the direction of Soultz les Bains and 22 kms west of Strasbourg.
