The Domaine de Mirabeau is located at the foot of the Gardiole, a protected massif and biodiversity reservoir that stretches from Montpellier to Sète. We cultivate 12 hectares of vines surrounded by scrubland, holm oaks and olive trees. We produce organic wines, authentic, without artifice and as close as possible to the grape. The king grape variety is the Cinsault, which we vinify in rosé and red. We have replanted 10 different grape varieties in the last 3 years, including old Languedoc varieties, such as Bourboulenc and Terret Bourret, suggesting a beautiful diversity of wines to come!
The Domaine de Mirabeau is home to exceptional biodiversity. We share the Domaine de Mirabeau with market gardeners and livestock breeders, united by the same objective: to combine agriculture and the preservation of biodiversity. Together, we have replanted 4,000 trees, dug ponds to shelter wetland species, and installed nest boxes for birds of prey. In our vineyards, we work according to this same philosophy: we sow green manures to cover and restructure the soil, we carefully disbud our vines to limit inputs, we use plant extracts as a preventive treatment and we harvest all our plots by hand. Vigne de Cocagne is also France's first integrated winegrowing structure! We pass on our know-how and our passion for the trade to people in search of a new lease of life. Our wines give rise to vocations!
In 4 years, we have already accompanied and trained more than 10 people in the wine-making profession. Several of them are now working on wine estates or are still training. Passing on our know-how and our passion for the profession is our greatest success! The human aspect is at the heart of the Vigne de Cocagne project. This is why every year we write the names of all the people who have contributed to the birth of our wines on the bottle label.
