The domain's short story
The Domaine du Grand Chêne is a family history since 1910. In 2018, Yannick and Nelly passed the baton to their son Aristide and his wife Céline. The 40 ha vineyard dominates the right bank of the Tarn on several slopes. The white grape varieties Mauzac and Len de lel thrive on clay-limestone slopes. The red grape varieties Duras and Braucol express themselves on a limestone terroir in the foothills of the Cordais plateau. Our production is based on respect for the environment, the application of ancestral know-how and patented innovations. Preserving biological diversity allows the plant to flourish in its biotope. Mineral supplements are used and the plots are grassed every other row to fix the microbial elements in the soil. This vine, so fragile and so hard at the same time, makes us proud of surprising wines every year.
