The domain's short story
1959, The creation: Bernard Olivier and his father decide to create the Domaine Olivier with 1.5 hectares of vines. At that time, polyculture was in the majority, but the official creation of the Domaine Olivier was the starting point for the specialization in wine. 1983, Installation of Patrick Olivier. 2000, Stop of the polyculture: It is thus at the end of the 90s that Patrick stops all the other cultures to devote himself only to the wine growing. The expansion of the vineyard will continue to reach 30 hectares in the early 2000s. 2013, The big turning point: With the ever increasing demand for the Domaine's wines, Patrick Olivier decides to seize the opportunity to take over a vineyard in the Saint Nicolas appellation. At this time, the Olivier estate operates 55 hectares of vineyards in the Saint Nicolas, Bourgueil and Anjou appellation areas. In addition to the expansion, all the production is sold directly, with a majority of sales in bottles. Today: Joined by their two children, Patrick and Agnès Olivier continue to manage the Domaine Olivier with the same rigor and dynamism as in the beginning. Our vision is very simple: "To highlight our different terroirs, to delight our customers, while ensuring the transmission of our vineyard". It is with this same vision that Florian and Marina Olivier wish to develop in turn the vineyard of the Domaine Olivier of a current surface of 63 hectares, of which 1 ha is cultivated in organic farming.
