The Domaine is located in the hills north of Murviel les Béziers - the heart of the estate is an 18th century farmhouse, surrounded by a vineyard that has always preserved its original structure: small plots on different levels, surrounded by trees and scrubland - a natural balance that makes working without pesticides or herbicides logical. ALL our grapes are harvested and sorted by hand.
I lived in Amsterdam or worked in an advertising agency as a strategy director. At the age of 35, a choice had to be made, to continue in my profession or to completely change my project. I wanted to leave the city and even live abroad. A great wine lover, I asked myself the question: why not make my own wine? It was then that after several visits to Bordeaux and the Côte du Rhône, I was told about the "new world of French wine"; Languedoc! After several searches, I found this beautiful vineyard in its own valley, an instant love at first sight! When analyses of the terroir showed its great potential, we bought it in 2002. With a consultant, we renovated the cellar and the vineyard, in 2005 I obtained my own diploma in viticulture and oenology. Today our wines are recognized among the best in Languedoc, both in France and abroad.
Arriving with my daughters in 2002, I discovered that we were the third generation with three daughters at the estate. Hence the name Mas des Dames!
