Champagne Serveaux fils comes from the best slopes of the Passy meander. Serveaux Champagnes favour on the one hand the work of the winegrower and on the other hand the origin of the wine. Half of the farm is tilled so as not to use herbicides. The other part of the vineyard is located on a steep slope, so tillage is more difficult. They are looking for new techniques to work their soils.

Our story

In the 1950s, Georges Serveaux, my grandfather, was one of the few visionaries who believed in the growth of the vine in the Marne Valley. Not having the necessary money, he borrowed money from a First World War survivor to buy his first hillside land. So he starts clearing his land. In particular, he uprooted a walnut tree that made a lumber company happy. After paying down his debt, Georges continued his investments. Pascal Serveaux, my father, continues for forty years the work undertaken by my grandfather. Then my brother arrived on the estate in 2001. Then I arrive in 2013. Today, we continue to build on the work we have done before.

Other little stories

For me, the profession of winegrower is above all a passion, a passion for the vine and for wine. We inherit our land from our grandfather who was able to invest himself in the vineyard as soon as the Second World War broke out. My father developed the vineyard through the plantations, and we children are developing what has been done over the past 60 years. As children we were already present in the vineyards with our grandfather and our parents to learn to love working in the vineyard. This is how we came to be passionate winegrowers.

I am a producer of local Champagne. I understand that the notion of assembly is secondary to me. I cultivate vines on the only wine meander of the Marne Valley. The result is a unique exposure that the practice of assembly cannot express. We are in the process of HVE certification and sustainable viticulture.
