In 2010, I set myself a qualitative approach, and I therefore decided to focus my energy on restructuring the field. In the form of two directions:
- The first part of the project is of a cultural nature, with the replanting of 2 hectares of vines each year.
- A second aspect is environmental, with moderate use of phytosanitary inputs and treatment of wine-growing effluents.
In addition to being happy to develop a quality product, I have set myself the goal of satisfying the increasingly demanding taste of the consumer! 100% of my production is marketed in AOC Bordeaux Red and today I make a range of red wines from the fruitiest to the most tannic in order to best suit the tastes of each and everyone.
Château MARCHAND BELLEVUE is now certified High Environmental Value while producing a range without added sulphite.
It was my grandfather, also a winegrower, who founded the Romagna wine cellar in 1936. It is in the Entre-deux-Mers, not far from Targon. The wine? I fell into it when I was a kid. That's why I took over the family property in 1989, after I finished my graduate studies in agriculture.
Great change and great pride at the same time, I took the decision, in 2010, to settle alone at the place called Marchand, still in Targon! The place is splendid and has a beautiful view of a sea of vines, the name of Marchand Bellevue has quite naturally imposed itself for the Château!
Little by little, the bird makes its nest! Through hard work and conviction in my noble profession as a winegrower, Château MARCHAND BELLEVUE was rewarded in 2019! A star in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2020 for the 2017 vintage, a selection in the Guide Bettane et Desseauve 2020 and a nice entry in the Guide DUSSERT-GERBER 2020, for all the vintages! We thank you for your trust!
