As early as 2010, I set myself a qualitative approach, and I therefore decided to concentrate my energy on restructuring the field. In the form of two directions:
- A first cultural aspect with, each year, the replanting of 2 ha of vines.
- A second environmental aspect, with a moderate use of phytosanitary inputs and the treatment of wine effluents.
In addition to being happy to develop a quality product, I have set myself the objective of satisfying the ever more demanding taste of the consumer! Thus, more than 90% of my products are sold in AOC Bordeaux Rouge and 10% in AOC Bordeaux Rosé.
It was my grandfather, also a winegrower, who founded the Romagna wine cellar in 1936. It is located in the Entre-deux-Mers, not far from Taragon. Wine? I fell into it when I was a kid. That's why I took over the family property in 1989, at the end of my graduate studies in agriculture.
Great change and great pride at the same time, I made the decision, in 2010, to settle alone in the place called Merchant, still in Targon! The place is splendid and has a beautiful view over a sea of vines, the name Marchand Bellevue was the natural choice for the Château!
