The wine offers a nose with aromas of blueberries, currants and blackcurrants, reminiscent of the smallness of its eye and the colour of its plumage. There are also notes of spices, pepper, coffee and freshness on the palate, these kinesthetic perceptions recall the spicy side of the bird.

The word of the Winemaker, :

The Black Woodpecker, a bird with black and red feathers and a fine, prickly beak, is a sedentary bird. We have chosen it for our Syrah cuvée, which comes from 15 year old vines that are planted a little more each year on schistous slopes.
