Our opinion on the vintage

At first glance, this Morgon's deep red color instantly evokes its complexity. The nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, punctuated by spicy and mineral nuances characteristic of the granitic soil of its "Grands-Cras" vineyard. On the palate, the attack is both fresh and dense, revealing a silky texture that envelops the palate. The tannins are present but well-integrated, supporting a long and elegant finish. This wine offers a beautiful harmony between power and delicacy, an authentic expression of Morgon, enjoyable now and for many years to come.

Domaine la Bonne Tonne

Beaujolais | France

Located in Morgon, in the iconic Côte du Py area, Domaine de la Bonne Tonne is a family estate whose current structure has been built up over generations. The vineyard is the result of combining plots from the parents' and grandparents' holdings, complemented by family vines, forming today a coherent whole rooted in the best slopes of Morgon.

The estate is managed organically, with certification obtained in 2003. Viticulture prioritizes a self-sufficient approach, attentive to the natural balance of the vines, with a focus on achieving optimal ripeness and controlled yields. The meticulous work on individual plots allows for the nuanced expression of the area's geological diversity, a key characteristic of Morgon.

  • Les Charmes, on granite soils, produces wines that are more supple, fruity and approachable.
  • Grand Cras brings more structure and depth, ... Lire plus
