Champagne Françoise Bedel

Dis, "Vin Secret"

Champagne | White | NM

This wine is a blend of 95% Pinot Meunier and 5% Chardonnay. The grapes come from vines aged 20 to 60 years old, grown in silty and marl-limestone soils, providing a remarkable foundation. After vinification in enamelled tanks and a touch of oak barrels, this wine rested for four years on its lees before disgorgement in June 2021, resulting in a well-structured harmony and complexity.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine reveals a delicate nose, where subtle floral aromas mingle with ripe fruit. On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, revealing a beautiful minerality imparted by the limestone soils. The silky texture, enriched by a brief period in oak barrels, offers an elegant roundness. The fine bubbles, resulting from several years of aging, contribute a sophisticated creaminess. The finish, both persistent and refreshing, leaves a clear and harmonious impression.

Champagne Françoise Bedel

Champagne Françoise Bedel

Champagne | France

Françoise Bedel has established herself as a leading figure in biodynamic winemaking in Champagne, with wines imbued with a unique patina. The cuvées, often aged for extended periods, develop a creamy texture driven by a refined Meunier grape. The fruity notes remain crisp despite the richness of the style, supported by supple acidity and a subtle salinity. Barrel aging in certain cuvées adds depth without masking the delicate bubbles. A singular world, where time plays a central role.
