Our Review of the Cuvée

On the nose, this wine reveals notes of exotic fruits and citrus, contributed by the Sauvignon, subtly balanced by the Chardonnay’s slightly buttery notes. On the palate, freshness dominates with lovely intensity, giving way to a round and pleasant texture. The minerality of the siliceous-clay soil comes through delicately, giving the wine a lively and elegant structure. The Pineau blend complements this balance with a light floral touch, creating a tasting experience that is both complex and refreshing.

Domaine Tessier

Loire | France

In Cheverny, Domaine Tessier, led by Philippe Tessier, consistently cultivates the region's emblematic grape varieties: Romorantin, Sauvignon, and Gamay. The vineyard is managed using organic farming practices, with particular attention paid to the quality of the raw material and soil balance.

The winemaking process follows a natural, low-intervention approach, aiming to preserve fruit clarity and precise balance. The white wines favor vertical and taut profiles, driven by consistent acidity and a clear expression of the grape varieties. The reds, meanwhile, are distinguished by their freshness and a very fluid texture, built upon measured extractions.

All the cuvées are characterized by great legibility and marked stylistic coherence. The estate offers a luminous and precise interpretation of Cheverny, now recognized as an essential benchmark for the appellation.
