Domaine Tessier
Toc 2023
Vin de France | Rouge | 2023
This wine, made exclusively from the Côt grape variety, comes from vines grown on siliceous-clay soils resting on a limestone base, which lends it a lovely minerality. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, allowing for a meticulous selection of the clusters. The winemaking process includes maceration with whole clusters, and malolactic fermentation is carried out in full. Aging in tanks preserves the fruit’s authenticity, and the use of sulfites is very limited.

Our Review of the Cuvée
On the nose, this wine reveals inviting aromas of red and black fruits with a subtle mineral note. On the palate, it offers a silky, well-structured texture, thanks to whole-cluster maceration that intensifies its aromatic depth. The tannins are present but well-integrated, lending a pleasant liveliness. The finish is long and flavorful, marked by a distinctive mineral freshness that reflects its terroir. A true delight for lovers of authentic wines.

Domaine Tessier
Loire | France
In Cheverny, Domaine Tessier, led by Philippe Tessier, consistently cultivates the region's emblematic grape varieties: Romorantin, Sauvignon, and Gamay. The vineyard is managed using organic farming practices, with particular attention paid to the quality of the raw material and soil balance.
The winemaking process follows a natural, low-intervention approach, aiming to preserve fruit clarity and precise balance. The white wines favor vertical and taut profiles, driven by consistent acidity and a clear expression of the grape varieties. The reds, meanwhile, are distinguished by their freshness and a very fluid texture, built upon measured extractions.
All the cuvées are characterized by great legibility and marked stylistic coherence. The estate offers a luminous and precise interpretation of Cheverny, now recognized as an essential benchmark for the appellation.
