Alain Voge
Les Chailles 2023
Cornas | Rouge | 2023
A blend of Syrah cultivated on Cornas' fertile granitic soils, this cuvée is certified organic and managed biodynamically. The manually harvested grapes undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by extended maceration. Eighteen months of aging in barrels enhances the wine's complexity without masking its original aromas, thanks to the absence of new oak. Lightly sulfited, it is produced in limited quantities and provides an excellent introduction to the estate's style.

Our Review of the Cuvée
Be captivated by the unique character of this Cornas Syrah. A rich aromatic nose evokes sun-drenched slopes with subtle notes of pine needles and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine reveals a beautiful structure, combining minerality with fine tannins. Its freshness and slightly resinous quality impart a unique complexity. With its silky tannins, it offers a delightful aromatic persistence. This wine will appeal with its ability to be enjoyed both young and after several years of cellaring.
Alain Voge
Rhône Valley | France
In Cornas, Alain Voge has sculpted a vision of Syrah that combines firmness and precision. The old vines yield a dense, at times opaque, juice, yet sustained by remarkable tension. The Saint-Péray whites exhibit a serene amplitude. In short: controlled depth.
