La Garrelière

Le Chenin de la Colline 2022

Touraine | White | 2022

This wine is the result of meticulous winemaking, using whole bunches pressed for three hours to subtly extract the aromas. Settling takes place over a period of 12 to 24 hours, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. Aging on fine lees in tanks and 600-liter barrels gives the wine a complexity and finesse that highlight the unique terroir of flinty clay and clay-limestone soils.

Our opinion on the vintage

Upon first tasting this wine, the nose is greeted by delicate, floral aromas, typical of Chenin Blanc. On the palate, the sensation is both fresh and rounded, thanks to aging on the lees, which adds depth and a silky texture. The unique terroir of flinty clay and clay-limestone imparts a balanced minerality that harmonizes with the wine's fruity nuances. The finish is persistent and elegant, revealing a subtle marriage of vivacity and sweetness. This wine is a true expression of its biodynamic terroir, offering an authentic and refined experience.

La Garrelière

Loire | France

Domaine de la Garrelière is a family-run vineyard located in Razines in the Touraine region, managed by François and Pascale Plouzeau on a hillside vineyard benefiting from optimal sunshine and a diverse terroir. The estate covers approximately 20 hectares and has cultivated its vines biodynamically since 1993.

He produces red, white, and rosé wines under the Touraine appellation, using natural winemaking methods with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention. Certain cuvées, such as the Sauvignon or the Gamay "Sans Tralala," illustrate the aromatic typicity and freshness of their terroirs.

The wines of La Garrelière are characterized by their frank expression, their balance and their ability to reflect the identity of the limestone soils and the natural viticultural practices implemented.
