Les Chemins de l'Arkose
Le Clos 2024
Côtes d'Auvergne | Red | 2024
This single-vineyard cuvée comes from a historic vineyard (over 200 years old) planted in limestone mixed with basalt debris, cultivated without any additives. Harvested by hand, with a long maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in concrete or fiberglass tanks, the wine develops a dense and fruity structure, freshness, and a beautiful mineral purity.

Our opinion on the vintage
The wine is a translucent purple with violet highlights. The nose, initially discreet, opens up to reveal ripe black fruit, violet, and a hint of pepper after aeration. On the palate, the wine is round and full, dense yet not heavy. The crisp, juicy fruit is structured by present but silky tannins, supported by a fresh acidity that adds vibrancy. The finish is persistent, marked by a light salinity and notes of garrigue. An authentic wine, vibrant with personality, perfect with roasted vegetable dishes, poultry, or flavorful cuisine.
Les Chemins de l'Arkose
Languedoc | France
In the Puy-de-Dôme region, volcanic soils sculpt vibrant, precise wines, almost mineral in texture. The estate cultivates Gamay and Pinot Noir with a very gentle extraction process. The result: elegant, lingering, and remarkably easy-drinking reds. A beautiful expression of altitude.
