Domaine des Ardoisières
Clay 2024
Savoie | White | 2024
This unique Savoyard wine draws its singularity from its Mondeuse Blanche vines, the oldest in Savoy and France, cultivated on west-facing schist slopes. The combination of black schist and deeper clay promotes abundant growth despite periods of drought. Winemaking blends tradition and modernity with fermentation in barrels and tanks using indigenous yeasts, followed by eight months of aging and light filtration.

Our opinion on the vintage
This wine captivates with its nose of fresh citrus notes, a vibrant testament to the Mondeuse Blanche grape. On the palate, the structure is assertive with a subtly chiseled texture that highlights a delicate minerality. The vineyards' exposure on the slopes provides beautiful aromatic depth, marked by a lively fruity expression. The long, lingering finish invites you to rediscover the richness of this Savoyard terroir. A perfect balance that will delight lovers of fine wines.
Domaine des Ardoisières
Loire | France
On steep slopes, Les Ardoisières produces wines with a strong identity: taut, almost saline whites, and elegant, floral reds. The schist soils amplify the verticality of the wines. Vinification strives for purity, without excessive extraction, resulting in a tightly structured texture and incisive aromatics. An emblematic estate of the Savoyard renaissance.
