Our estate and all our vines are located in the commune of Les Riceys. The family property farms 11 hectares. Like the Riceys vineyard, we are mainly planted with Pinot Noir. Nevertheless, in the future, we intend to replant Chardonnay in order to bring a little more choice in our blends. We have been part of the DEPHY ecophyto network since 2008. The goal is simple: reduce the use of phytos by 30% by 2018! Target met!

Our story

Our vineyard has been managed in a rational way since the early 1990s. Since 2008, we have also been a member of the DEPHY ecophyto network. Since 2012, we have been certified by the Terra Vitis brand, the first sustainable viticulture network in Champagne, which provides complete certification up to the finished bottle.

Other little stories

Tradition and modernism alone sum up the spirit and philosophy of the Guy de Forez House. We are fortunate to have very loyal pickers who come back from one year to the next. One of the oldest has been coming for more than 30 years! Polish friends have been coming for so long that it is their children who are now helping us. The raw tradition is the cuvée that most resembles us. It is a pure pinot noir and we are lovers of this grape variety. It is a particular grape variety both in terms of aromas and colour... in our image!

Planted in the middle of the largest terroir in Champagne (866 ha), our vineyard grows on the most beautiful slopes of the village. It is the municipality that has the largest wine-growing area in the whole of Champagne. Thus, Les Riceys is the only city in Champagne to have 3 AOCs: for champagne, the Champagne hills, and the rosé des Riceys. The latter was highly appreciated by the French nobility, especially by Louis XIV himself.
