Vous avez raison à propos de la Cuvée Réservée de l'Aïeul. C'est un vin qui doit être aéré sur la phase de jeunesse et qui commence à se révéler pleinement après 2/3 ans de bouteille mais qui pourra sans aucun soucis patienter une douzaine d'années.

Robe rouge sombre avec reflets framboises.
Nez surprenant, animal et epicé. Boisé flamboyant qui mérite d'être digéré dans le sprochaines années. Très belle longueur et elegance pour ce vin qui dans 10 ans sera grand... très grand.

Anecdotes about the domain

Through our work as winemakers, we pass on our passion for the land and the history of our beautiful region of the Lot. The Cahors Appellation counts today about 4.500 hectares in A.O.P. production. Thanks to a collective work with the actors of the local wine industry, the Cahors wines enjoy a great diversity, something to delight the amateurs! Intimately linked to the local gastronomy, our Cahors wines associate perfectly well with the traditional duck breasts, confits, cassoulets as well as goat's cheeses such as Rocamadour and Cabécou !

The domain's short story

According to the departmental archives, the Couture family of winegrowers was found in 1470, at the service of the Lord of Albas. The estate was named Château Eugénie in homage to our great-great-grandmother, and since then, we have been perpetuating the family tradition from father to son, thanks to the know-how acquired over the generations, combined with modern winemaking techniques.

The winemaker's pride

Château Eugénie is first and foremost a family story. Winegrowers from father to son for several centuries, the Couture family perpetuates the family tradition by producing sincere and authentic wines, reflecting our admirable mosaic of terroirs.
