Anecdotes about the domain
The Domaine was named "La Perdrix" in honour of André's grandfather, an artist and winegrower. Painter and hunter, he left many drawings and paintings of game and landscapes of Roussillon. It was a great opportunity to make these drawings the emblem of the estate.
The domain's short story
Family estate created by my ancestors in the 1820s, today I run the estate with my wife Viriginie. We cultivate the vines in a sustainable way. For me, the winegrower's challenge is above all to produce quality wines while respecting the environment in a demanding regulatory context. We have inherited the sense of sharing and aesthetics from our predecessors. This is why we produce wines from the Côte du Roussillon appellations in 3 colours. Our range includes maturing wines, wines of expression, wines of pleasure for the Coule douce and Corto vintages, but also historic natural sweet wines from Roussillon.
The winemaker's pride
The Domaine overlooks the Roussillon plain. The 30 hectares of vines of the estate are located in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the Aspres sector around the town of Trouillas. The soil is called mosaic because it is composed of a variety of soils, clayey-limestone, granitic and silty soils. André and Virginie offer wines of expression and pleasure representing the different appellations of the Côte du Roussillon.
