Our story

The Domaine LOU GAILLOT is located in Casseneuil in the Lot et Garonne. (47). The estate has been in the family for 6 generations. The estate refocused on the wine business in the 1980s and the brand Lou Gaillot (translation of Le Gaillot) was created by Jean Claude Pons in 1987. The business was taken over and developed by Gilles Pons in 1997 after training as a Purpan engineer and in oenology. Our pride is to have developed a vineyard with a range of wines recognized on a territory where the vine had somewhat disappeared since the crisis of Phylloxera. Respect for the soil, preservation of biodiversity are the priorities in the vineyard and it is in this logic that our certification in Organic Farming.

Other little stories

More than a job, it's a real passion enriched by my experience abroad (California) and in the Bergerac region, and I like to share this passion during visits to the winery or during tastings. What drives me is a perpetual search for improvement of my wines or the creation of new ones. On the estate we offer in summer a discovery tour through the vineyards as well as Apéro Concert evenings which are very appreciated.
