After having worked in several Burgundy domains, Philippe Cordonnier created in 2009 his own domain on beautiful appellations of Burgundy (Bourgogne Aligoté, Hautes Côtes de Beaune). He vinified his first vintages in 2015. He is undeniably one of the new domains to follow in Burgundy!
The 2020 vintage marks the first year of official conversion to organic farming on the estate. Before its certification, the domain was already cultivating its vines in this way, but it seemed legitimate to Philippe to make his work official. The Domaine Philippe Cordonnier is located in the commune of Corgoloin in Burgundy, in the appellations Bourgogne Aligoté and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. His first vintages immediately won over our team. He is undeniably one of the new domains to follow in Burgundy!
Philippe Cordonnier has been in contact with the vine since his youth. After training in Beaune, he learned the trade of winemaker by working in several Burgundy domains. In 2009, he decided to create his own domain. He vinified his first vintages in 2015.
Today, the domain extends over 7 hectares cultivated in Organic Agriculture, in the greatest respect of the soil. Only the work of the ground is practiced by ploughings. The domain keeps natural grapes and allows you to appreciate the flavors of Burgundy wines.
Although he does not come from a family of winegrowers, Philippe Cordonnier has the experience of an old hand. He fell into the barrel when he was young, planted his own vines and managed everything from the seed to the bottle. Vintage after vintage, Philippe gains confidence to make the Burgundian climates speak in the glass.
