Domaine Rabiega

Nestled on the heights of Draguignan, on the Triassic plateau of the hinterland of Var, we enjoy a magnificent clay and limestone soil. We regularly cross paths with wild boars and hares on the ground, sometimes with foxes who leave us the rest of the feast in front of the cellar doors... We work on sometimes narrow restanques that do not make our task with the tractor any easier, but that allow us to improvise ourselves stuntmen! The purpose of our know-how is to treat our land with love, the former owner left us an organic land that we preserve at all costs, we work our soils in the greatest respect of ecological standards. We have started the necessary procedures to obtain the organic label that we once had. We have a beautiful variety of grape varieties on our estate. We grow Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and soon Roll. Provençal nature is very abundant and luxuriant, flowers, olive trees, cypresses, fig trees, apricots, cherries, as well as our beautiful garrigue, are part of our landscapes with thousands of colours.

Our story

Christiane who created the estate was a speaker on Fr3 before embarking on the wine adventure, some of you may remember seeing her on the good old cathode ray tube station that adorned the salons of the 75-80s. Later, the estate was bought by the Swedish state, which had a monopoly on the sale of alcohol. He set up a small oenological institute there to train future young oenologists and kept the estate for about ten years. A Swedish owner then bought the Rabiega estate before he sold it to Mr. Tanchou, a Frenchman from the Paris region, in 2014. We are fine-tuning our latest work because the farms and vines needed a good refreshment, it was a real challenge to be met! Little by little, the vines, the estate, the landscapes regain their old-fashioned appearance....
