(66) Pyrénées-Orientales

Our farm is located in the commune of Saleilles in the Pyrénées-Orientales. We cultivate a 20 hectare vineyard on the appellations Côtes du Roussillon, and Rivesaltes Grenat and Ambré. We also produce wines on the Geographically Protected Indications (PGI) Pays des Côtes Catalanes and Côtes Catalanes.

The vines in our vineyard have evolved a lot over the last 30 years. We have gone from growing 4 varieties in 1990 to 13 varieties today. As for white wines, we blend Muscats à Petits Grains and Alexandria, Roussanne, Maccabeu, Viognier and Grenache Blanc. The red wines are made of Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache Noir or Marselan.

Our terroir is made up of clayey-sandy soils on pliocene terraces. Quartz pebbles complete the richness of our soil.

Our story

François Alart bought the estate in 1897. Since this purchase by the Alart family, no less than 5 generations have succeeded each other at the head of this typical farmhouse of the region.

Until I arrived in 1995, only natural sweet wines were produced. First of all, I restructured the vineyard and then all the working tools that are used in the vineyard, in the cellars and in the cellar. Today, we offer a wide range of 10 vintages to lovers of sunny wines.
