Coteaux Bourguignons 2024

Coteaux Bourguignons | Red | 2024

This wine, made from Gamay grapes grown in clay-limestone soils, is distinguished by its environmentally friendly production methods, with a conversion to organic farming currently underway. Hand-harvesting and the use of indigenous yeasts promote the natural expression of the terroir, while six months of aging in oak barrels imparts a beautiful complexity. The absence of filtration and minimal addition of SO2 ensure the purity and authenticity of the wine's profile.

Our opinion on the vintage

On tasting, this Gamay immediately captivates with its intense purple hue. The nose offers a symphony of aromas, combining black fruit coulis, toasty notes, and bursts of spice. On the palate, one discovers a round and velvety texture, with a luscious flesh that envelops the palate with ripe and vibrant fruit. A slight effervescence dissipates with aeration to reveal a luscious finish, dominated by flavors of black cherry, cocoa, and roasted spices, offering remarkable persistence and exhilarating freshness.

Chapuis & Chapuis

Chapuis & Chapuis

Bourgogne | France

In Pommard, the Chapuis & Chapuis estate, run by two brothers, produces wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes sourced from local vineyards, both from their own vines and from a carefully selected network of négociants. This dual approach allows them to work with different origins while maintaining a constant focus on the quality of the raw materials.

The winemaking process relies on spontaneous fermentations and gentle extractions, with the aim of preserving the finesse of the textures and the clarity of the fruit. The red wines are distinguished by a fine texture, a clear expression of Pinot Noir, and a marked verticality, reminiscent of classic Burgundian interpretations, without striving for power.

The white wines maintain a clear tension, supported by perfectly ripe grapes and judicious aging. The estate's work as a whole prioritizes sincerity and precision, offering balanced wines built on finesse and coherence rather than stylistic
