For this Vignobles de la Rhone ValleyLaetitia Allemand takes us to the AOC Costières de Nîmes. Enclosed between the garrigues in the north and the ponds of the Petite Camargue in the south, the vines of the appellation are located on a set of small hills and plateaus.

A vineyard under the influence of

This area is often considered as a link between Provence and the Camargue, since it has soils of rolled pebbles, typically Rhodanian, and a Mediterranean climate. The vineyard benefits from the maritime influence of the Camargue, which provides a refreshing thermal breeze, and from the cleansing role of the mistral.

When it comes to respecting the environment and protecting the landscape, the winegrowers of the AOC are rather advanced. Indeed, the appellation has 20% of its vineyard in organic farming!

The various influences of the vineyard allow the winegrowers to concoct a nice variety of wines, mainly reds, even if the whites and rosés are also very pleasant!
