Pinot blanc Tulipe 2023

Alsace | White | 2023

Domaine Neumeyer crafts its wines with meticulous care, blending tradition and innovation. Prioritizing an organic approach from vine to cellar, the focus is on minimalist winemaking that emphasizes indigenous yeasts and extended aging on the lees. The choice of a southeast-facing exposure and marl-limestone soil, combined with meticulous hand-harvesting, ensures the quality and authentic expression of Pinot Blanc.

Winemaking: indigenous yeasts, temperature control, vinification in oak foudres, aging on fine lees, then bottling in June 2023.

Our opinion on the vintage

This Pinot Blanc from Domaine Neumeyer captivates from the first sniff with its aromas of fresh fruit and a subtle floral note. On the palate, the attack is crisp and precise, evolving into a creamy texture thanks to aging on fine lees, which imparts a lovely smoothness. A delicate minerality structures the whole, offering a long and elegant finish. A true expression of the Alsatian terroir, offered by an estate committed to and respectful of its environment.

In Alsace, Domaine Neumeyer is located around Molsheim, as well as in the neighboring towns of Mutzig and Avolsheim. The vineyard is managed according to the principles of organic farming, with particular attention paid to soil balance and the expression of each plot.

Vineyard work relies on measured practices: natural ground cover, shallow soil cultivation, manual harvesting with sorting, and controlled yields. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve the perfect balance and aromatic potential of each plot.

In the cellar, winemaking prioritizes minimal intervention. Pressing is gentle, fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, and aging is extended on the lees to promote the stability and natural complexity of the wines. This approach aims to complement the raw materials without altering their expression.

The estate's wines prioritize personality and clarity, with profiles built on precision, freshness, and a faithful expression of the Alsatian terroir.
