With “Vignes Perdues,” Domaine d’Ansignan pays tribute to old Piquepoul vineyards destined to disappear. Nestled in the Upper Agly Valley, on granite scree, these vines produce a white wine full of character—both fresh and deep. Harvested by hand, the grapes are pressed immediately and then fermented in old barrels before aging on the lees for seven months, which adds body and complexity. This cuvée perfectly illustrates the potential of the Côtes Catalanes and the estate’s meticulous work to preserve a unique winemaking heritage.
