Domaine Barou

Domaine Barou

Vallée du Rhône | France

In the hills of the Ardèche, Domaine Barou has been cultivating its vines organically for many years. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Saint-Joseph appellation, the estate works primarily with Syrah in a style that is more elegant and supple than that traditionally found on the neighboring slopes.

The ripeness is deliberately controlled to preserve the freshness of the fruit and the balance of the structure. The reds are built on polished tannins and a clear expression of fruit, without striving for power. The estate also produces precise and balanced white wines, following the same principle of clarity.

All the wines are distinguished by their great consistency and a serene style, true to a measured interpretation of the Northern Rhône. These are straightforward and approachable wines, crafted without excess and designed for a smooth tasting experience.
