The estate was founded in 1632 and is part of our historical and wine-growing heritage to our great delight. Just a few steps from Montpellier, the Château, its French-style park and its 60 hectares of vines that surround it are one. The 18th century style is reflected in every detail in the architecture of the château, as well as in the estate's wine-growing vocation and its dedication to women and love. We pay tribute to them by using these themes on the labels of each cuvée as links between history and wines. We are located in the heart of Languedoc in the terroir of Saint Georges d'Orques. The nature of the soils is made up of a bed of stones rolled on red soil, it gives the wines their Languedoc signature, their ageing potential and always a real freshness. Diane Losfelt has been perfectly at the helm of the Château for some thirty years. His key words can be summed up by the authenticity of the terroirs and the elegance of the wines. It produces wines of character in AOC and Pays d'Oc, each with its own signature and style. She is also very attached to the sustainable development approach, by certifying the estate as Terra Vitis.
Today it is the 5th generation of the family to manage the property, and it is especially the 3rd generation of female winegrowers in the family! A know-how and a passion for the terroir that is passed on from mother to daughter.
"Observe your vines, a treasure is hidden in them! "; this is my motto as a winegrower. I consider myself a treasure seeker, represented by the terroir and its many facets. Step by step, I seek to express, through my wines, the range of personalities that my plots offer. The winegrower's work is therefore first and foremost in the vineyard, listening to the terroir. This philosophy has very concrete repercussions, such as vinifying each plot separately, in order to express each specificity of the terroir (type of soil, sunshine, water regime, etc.). The vinification of parcels is a very demanding technique, but one that allows a better understanding of the estate. Like a chef with his ingredients, the winegrower then blends some of his vintages to obtain a final product that meets his expectations.
Wine is truly the drink of Man with a great "H". It is above all a product of sharing, conviviality and hedonism. A simple companion for a moment with friends, the cornerstone of a gourmet meal, an undeniable argument for a romantic evening, worthy of its origins and ancestral know-how, an elegant and complex sensory experience... as many faces and expressions as human beings and moments of life!
