Located in the commune of CAMIRAN, in the Haut Entre 2 Mers region, our vineyard covers 30 hectares of red grape varieties (70% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon, 5% malbec) and 2 hectares of white grape varieties (sauvignon). In the middle of the vineyard, we have preserved over the years stone huts that were used as shelters, especially at lunch time in the last century. Ideally placed, they still offer us a view and quietness during a hike or a picnic.

Our story

Managed today by Jérôme and Alexandra, both wish to develop an eco-responsible work of the vineyard by limiting the inputs, by using biocontrol solutions and by investing in innovative equipment. "Indeed, for us, the alliance of tradition and modernity is essential to obtain great wines. "Concerned about the respect of the environment, our vineyard is led in reasoned agriculture since 2004 and certified High Environmental Value of level 3 since 2017

Other little stories

Since my childhood, raised with the rhythm of the seasons, I have learned to appreciate each one of them with the different stages of the vineyard and the sharing of experiences of my elders.amazed by the complex perfume of the vine flowers in spring, until the aromas of fermentation of the musts in our cellar at the beginning of the autumn, everything destined me to follow the way of the previous generations.this experience of perfumes and flavours acquired since my youngest age allow me to elaborate today rich wines of a great aromatic complexity. The name of our Château: La Roche Saint Jean "La Roche" represents the local stone that was used for the construction of the buildings in the 18th century. "Saint" symbolizes the church of St. Pierre, which is adjacent to the property and is classified as a historical monument. "Jean" is a tribute to Jean PAUQUET who developed the wine-making activity on the property around 1950. Even today, it is in consultation with my father Jean-Pierre, that we share the life and experience of our profession on our estate. This succession of generations reinforces the knowledge of our terroirs and the adaptation of our different grape varieties. This is essential to achieve the best blends and produce wines of sharing and emotions.
