Born from the vision of Elisabeth and David Labat, it is blowing a wind of change on Château Vermont. 4th generation of winegrowers, these two enthusiasts take over the estate in 2010, restructuring the vineyard by densifying the plantation, carefully choosing their vines. To complete the range of red and rosé Bordeaux, they plant white grapes again. They encourage and focus their attention on plot work, soil and vegetative adequacy. They finally achieve optimum quality to bring aromatic complexity to their wines. A call to move up the range, this Château, classified in the Bordeaux Supérieur and Entre-Deux-Mers Haut-Benauge appellation, is in the process of regaining its rank as the first growth of the Entre-Deux-Mers of 1874.

Our story

Elisabeth took over the family property after specializing in viticulture and oenology studies. Openness has always been one of its assets and now wishes to take back the destiny of its family history. With David her husband, they are starting the renovation work in VERMONT in 2011. To produce a great wine, the winegrower also needs good vines and good tools. A winemaking cellar is essential to make the wines of their dreams.

Other little stories

Thanks to daily work in the vineyard and in the vatting room, our Rosé and Entre-Deux-Mers are among the best vintages of the AOC (2 stars Guide Hachette, several times awarded with gold medals). The history of Vermont is also revived when the Grande Cuvée made its entry into the top 15 of the best Bordeaux Supérieur by the Gault & Millau guide:"Today we manage the VERMONT estate, with the aim of bringing it to the level of excellence it had in the past, the same one that made it be mentioned as one of the first wines of the Entre Deux Mers in the 3rd edition of the Fêt in 1874", Elisabeth and David delivered us.
