APPELLATION :
Located near the Loire, between Saumur and Cholet, the family estate is in the heart of the Anjou appellation. The vineyard now has all the conditions to make a good wine: a passionate winegrower and a terroir of great quality.
Anecdotes about the domain
"Son of a winegrower, I fell into it when I was little. After studying wine and several experiences, including a great adventure in the vineyards of Chateauneuf, it seemed natural to me, in 2003, to take over the family estate.
The domain's short story
A history of transmission and growth. The vineyard has belonged to the Jouin family since 1880 but is run by tenant farmers. In 1984, Philippe Jouin took over the estate and moved to 7 hectares. He never stopped expanding the estate at the cost of hard work in the vineyards supported by his wife Agnès. It was in 2003, after training in wine, that his son, Damien, joined the estate. In 2012, when Philippe retired, Damien took over and developed the Clos du Beugnon brand. The vineyard extends today over 25 hectares in production and tomorrow over 36 hectares.
