Domaine de la Rochette is a family estate located in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations. Vincent Leclair, 4th generation, took over the estate in 2014. The Domaine extends over 46 hectares with vines located on the 1st slopes of the Cher with parakeet-type soils that produce wines of character and vines located on the plateau, more clayey, which produces fresher and more fruity wines.

Our story

I took over the estate in 2014 and made the estate evolve towards my sensitivity: taking into account the environmental, social and quality interests of my wines. The vines are grassed, insecticides are excluded with the use of sexual confusion, and the Domaine is equipped with a latest generation sprayer to limit the quantity of phytosanitary products. The Domaine also continues to invest in equipment in the cellar to better preserve the wine (pumps, pneumatic press, cold...). Finally, people are at the heart of this sensitivity: painfulness and fraternity are two important notions in a job that is both demanding and rewarding.

Other little stories

My passion was born from the memories of children spent on the estate. Tasting the berries, then the juices and finally the wine is a real pleasure. I like wines that are both fresh and structured but always fruity. For me, wine is a link between Men, a nectar that brings brotherhood.

The first tastings of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon will remain engraved in my childhood memories. I think that the vine and wine convey what the men and women who work with them on a daily basis bring to them. Humility and fraternity are essential values for this profession. The winegrower who forgets these values will not make good wines.
