Anecdotes about the domain

We attach great importance to respecting the environment in which we live and work. The Domaine is certified as having High Environmental Value and is in the process of converting to organic farming. 2024 will be our first certified organic vintage. We do not use herbicides, chemical fertilizers, insecticides or any other synthetic phytosanitary products. We are also committed to maintaining and restoring areas of ecological interest: permanent meadows, grassed areas, hedgerows and watering holes. These areas account for half of our farmland.

The domain's short story

At the Domaine de Maouries, good living and good eating rhyme with good wine and conviviality. All this in a magnificent setting, with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees.

The winemaker's pride

Domaine de Maouries has been a family affair for four generations, and is now run by Isabelle, Pascal, Rémi and Claire DUFAU. The property extends over 27 hectares of well-exposed slopes and plateaus, with silty and silty-clay soils with rounded pebbles. An ideal location from which our A.O.C Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic Bilh, Saint Mont (the only independent property in the appellation) and I.G.P Côtes de Gascogne benefit generously. This exceptional location, in the heart of Gascony, offers pure, delicious and surprising wines.
