Vignobles Dubois

This family property, which extends over 18 hectares, is located on the banks of the Dordogne, on the right bank. The estate has been run for four generations by the Dubois family, today by Xavier, since 1998. A restructuring of the estate is underway, entire parcels are being pulled out to be replanted with better quality rootstocks.

Our story

Winegrowers in Bordeaux for four generations, we operate on the Right Bank, in the Bordeaux, Bordeaux Rosé, Lalande de Pomerol, Pomerol and St Emilion Grand Cru appellations. This family estate is located on the banks of the Dordogne, on "loving" soils of clay and limestone. Château Bozelle is located directly on the Dordogne, 2 kilometers from Libourne, and covers 18 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. I've been with the domaine since 1998, and now manage the family estates. Our properties have been listed under the "Vigneron Indépendant" label since the late 1980s. With a commercial background (Bac +3 in business school), I've always been interested in the world of wine, and more particularly Bordeaux wines. After working for a year with a major Bordeaux wine merchant, I joined the family domaine to continue the work of previous generations, while modernizing our work tools. Even today, the estate is being restructured, with entire plots of land being uprooted and replanted with higher quality rootstock (notably lower yields). We have also modified our packaging to make it more attractive. Three years ago, we created a sales cellar to welcome our professional and private customers. We still need to focus on sustainable development. I'm also interested in new methods of cultivation (integrated pest management, organic farming). A new challenge for the near future. To this end, two years ago I took a training course on converting estates to organic farming. In the future, I'd like to further develop the property by offering bed and breakfast accommodation.
