We are in the village of Chiroubles, in the heart of the appellation of the same name. The statue present here is that of Victor Pulliat. He is a very important figure for Beaujolais, as he saved the vineyard from phylloxera.

The Chénas vineyard stretches out in a long, narrow strip. It overlooks the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, its famous neighbor. It slopes gently to the west and gradually becomes flatter toward the east, as it approaches the Saône River.
