Château Cantelaudette
Located in Arveyres, between Bordeaux and Libourne, Château Cantelaudette is a family-owned estate situated on a plateau overlooking the Dordogne River, benefiting from the river’s influence and its proximity to the ocean. Passed down through the Chatelier family for several generations, the estate is part of a winemaking tradition that dates back to 1870. In 1984, Jean-Michel Chatelier took over the property and set about rebuilding the vineyard, planting vines according to specific criteria, and constructing a functional winery to produce the estate’s wines. The family views the vines, the soil, the climate, and people as a living, complex ecosystem that must be respected to ensure the sustainability of viticulture.
