Our Review of the Cuvée

This wine boasts a beautiful ruby color and reveals an intense nose with aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is velvety with well-integrated tannins, giving way to a very pleasant fruity finish. Its well-structured finish lends this wine true finesse, making it perfect for pairing with grilled meats and lamb chops. Best enjoyed at an ideal temperature of 13–14°C, it will delight palates seeking subtlety.

Domaine du Séminaire

Rhône Valley | France

Domaine du Séminaire is a family-owned vineyard located in Valréas (84600, Vaucluse) in the Enclave des Papes, north of the Rhône Valley. It spans approximately 60 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters, planted on clay-limestone and loam soils. The vineyard is cultivated organically, with practices closely aligned with biodynamics. The winery, built in 1938, has been modernized over time, and the grapes are harvested by hand.

The estate produces reds, whites, and rosés under the Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Valréas appellations, using Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, and White Grenache grape varieties. Winemaking practices prioritize native yeasts and minimal intervention. The Pouizin family is now in its fourth generation of winemakers, and the estate has operated a tasting room since 2007.
